INFO: the amount of benefit provided is based on income, resources and the number of individuals in the household. SNAP benefits are issued monthly on an EBT card. This card can be used just like a debit card at authorized grocery stores and retailers.

SNAP benefits CAN be used to purchase:
– Fruits and vegetables
– Meat, poultry, and fish
– Dairy products
– Breads and cereals
– Other foods such as snack foods and non-alcoholic beverages
– Seeds and plants, which produce food for the household to eat

Ric-Rack’s mission is to Feed the Hungry of Dawson County in their time of greatest need. They achieve this mission through a cooperative relationship with other local charities that help collect goods, screen and qualify applicants and distribute food.
